Vagio Agrofarms Olive Oil is a superior category of early harvest olive oil, derived from the cold extraction of green olives of the Halkidiki variety, and is characterized by a strong flavor, fruity smell, and spicy aftertaste.
It is an essential product for a balanced diet, since the levels of oleocanthal and oleasin are above the average limit and support the health claim that:
“Olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress within the context of a varied and balanced diet.”
The polyphenols oleocanthal and eleasin have significant biological activity, as well as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective, and neuroprotective properties. The beneficial effects are ensured with a daily intake of 20 g of olive oil.
Olive Oil Acidity
The acidity in olive oil indicates the amount of free fatty acids in it, and therefore, for nutritious choices, the best are the ones that have low acidity levels. In addition, lower acidity also means that the fruit has undergone less damage, with special care from the producer during the whole procedure, and thus, offers the most healthy qualities.
Olive oils with an acidity of less than 0.3% are considered premium olive oils.
